Samsung Battery Replacement Cost in Malaysia (2026)
Last updated:
Samsung batteries usually give you three to four good years before the complaints start: dying by mid-afternoon, sudden shutdowns at 20%, a back cover that no longer sits flat. Replacement is cheap compared to a new phone. Here is what it costs by series.
Samsung Battery Replacement Cost by Series
- Galaxy A14 / A15 / A34 / A35: RM 150 – RM 220
- Galaxy A54 / A55: RM 170 – RM 250
- Galaxy S21 / S22 / S23 series: RM 180 – RM 280
- Galaxy S24 / S25 series: RM 220 – RM 320
- Galaxy Note 20 / Note 20 Ultra: RM 200 – RM 300
- Galaxy Z Flip series: RM 250 – RM 380 (dual battery)
- Galaxy Z Fold series: RM 280 – RM 400 (dual battery)
Signs your Samsung battery is done
- Phone dies before evening on light use.
- Battery percentage jumps or drops suddenly.
- Phone shuts down at 15 to 30% remaining.
- Back cover is lifting or the phone looks slightly swollen. Stop using it and get it looked at.
- Phone only feels reliable when it is on the charger.
- Charging takes much longer than it used to.
Why foldables cost more
Z Flip and Z Fold phones carry two batteries, one on each side of the hinge, and both should be replaced together so they age evenly. Opening a foldable also takes more care because of the flexible display cables routed through the hinge. More parts, more time, higher price. Still far cheaper than replacing a RM 6,000 phone.
A swollen battery is not a wait-and-see problem
Lithium batteries swell when the cells break down and produce gas. A swollen battery pushes the screen or back cover out and can rupture if punctured. If your phone is bulging, do not charge it overnight and do not press on it. Bring it in. Removing a swollen battery safely is routine for us and the replacement cost is the same.
How long it takes
About 45 minutes for most Galaxy models. Samsung glues the back glass down, so we heat it, lift it, swap the battery, and reseal it with fresh adhesive. Water resistance depends on that adhesive, so a proper reseal matters. Foldables take one to two hours.
