Why Pixel back glass matters
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold back panel is glued on and sits directly over the battery and wireless charging coil. On the Fold, the back glass is part of the outer shell that protects the hinge mechanism, so cracks here are more than cosmetic. A cracked back also kills the IPX8 seal, so any future liquid exposure goes straight to the internals.
